It felt like as soon as Shawn and I both got home from our 2 week vacation (work training/vaca for Shawn) we turned around and got right back on the airplane...I guess that's because we did. Victoria turned 9 months when we got back and weighed in at 19lbs (average %tile) and measured 28 3/4 inches long (top %...she's tall for her age) at her checkup. We celebrated My 23rd birthday, which I had almost forgot about...but Shawn and Victoria made it a perfect day. Shawn took the day off work for...a root canal...my birthday too of course and we spent the day together as a family. It doesn't get any better than that! Yes, of course we celebrated with a sushi dinner, but this year it was the night before my birthday because of Shawn's horrible root canal...poor guy!
On the 26th of June we boarded our planes...separate planes again. Shawn had to fly a separate airline because he was technically flying to Salt Lake for business. Lucky for me I got a bit of special treatment at the airport, which made traveling alone with a baby, and a bulky stroller, a little easier!

We arrived in Salt Lake, drove to Park City and surprised Shawn's dad and siblings. Brad had just gotten back from being in Iraq for 6 months and him and Carol were spending some alone time in Park City (that should paint a pretty little picture for you, Shawn). Grandpa was pretty excited to see his grandbaby who was only 3 1/2 months when he last saw her! And we were shocked to see how skinny Brad was!...not that he was fat before (but he did love ice cream)...he lost 35lbs while he was gone! Way to go!
After Park City we spent the rest of our time in Logan splitting the time with both families. Some of my family came over from California to celebrate the 4th in Logan. For some reason the 4th of July always seems better in Logan...
Feeding the ducks at First Dam.
Happy Independence Day!
The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays! I love everything about it! I've even been caught blasting my patriotic CD, loudly singing along with my eyes tearing up a bit, while unloading the dishwasher...I get it from my mom.
Victoria and her cousin Harlyn celebrating their first Independence day with a mini photo shoot.
Grandpa and Grandma with their two (out of five..almost 6) grandbabies.
(Babies above are the Buehler 2008 babies...we were just missing one)
We ended our trip with the Buehler family reunion (Shawn's mother's side) which was at the beautiful family ranch in Malad Idaho. All the family members (all except Julie, Ryan and their little one) aunts, uncles, cousins, spouses and babies made an appearance at the reunion! It was a good time!
